The Loving Left: At It Again

Lately it works like this: Democrats attack the results of an election, absolutely nothing happens; but any Republican who does it gets indicted. But it has also been interpreted to mean Democrats are justified in physically attacking their political rivals.

I think we have to go back to the 1970s before we find any big-name Democrat suffering serious consequences for anything he said or did.

They will destroy our country if we don’t find a way to stop them.

Almost half, 47%, of Biden voters say that “Government should regulate or restrict the expression of views considered discriminatory or offensive,” according to a poll by the University of Virginia Center for Politics (https://rantingly.com/articles/almost-half-of-biden-voters-think-gov-should-regulate-or-restrict-speech-they-consider-offensive/).

Gee–I consider that an offensive view: profoundly offensive.

It gets worse: 35% of Trump supporters agreed.

And about a third of the respondents agree that “Americans have too much freedom”!

Can’t blame Democrats for that!

Everywhere you look, Lady Liberty’s on life support. Why aren’t those numbers closer to 0%? We had to beat the British Empire in a war to earn those freedoms! We had to fight a civil war to extend them to all Americans–and abolish slavery. How little do we value what ought to be most precious to us!

Most of the blame for this must fall on our overpriced, Left-infested, chock-full-o’-loons public “education” system. And on us, for not pulling our children out of public schools. Keep it up… and we won’t have “too much freedom” to worry about.

Oh–and since it’s impossible to hold an opinion that doesn’t offend someone, somewhere… how will the government decide whose feelings matter and whose don’t?

As if we didn’t know.

Remember this? Some Far Left city council in Wisconsin passed a “law” redefining churches as ordinary places of public accommodation–a la parks or taverns–and therefor, voila! No First Amendment!

Fortunately, a judge saw through this scheme and struck it down with his gavel. The government can’t barge into the church and re-order everything.

But that is precisely what it wants to do.

Rep. Kathy Castor (D-what else? of course she’s a Democrat) made the nooze in 2020 by threatening to sock it to the social media unless they got serious about silencing dissent. I mean, how is anybody supposed to sell a working Climate Crisis if anything like free speech is allowed?

Yo, Kathy–the FBI is coming after parents who don’t like their school boards’ policies. I’ll bet that makes you chortle with joy.

Moas are not the only things now extinct in New Zealand. Anybody seen common sense or basic sanity lately?

She may not be the prime minister of New Zealand anymore, but Jacinda Ardean has landed a cushy berth at Harvard, with opportunities to address the United Nations.

I remember a time when no one but a kook would dare say he was against free speech. Even the most slobbering Democrat at least gave lip service to our most basic and least dispensable liberty.

But now they just don’t bother. Tyranny is cool. Look how great it works for China–that government has really got the power, baby!

And the beauty of it is, no government, once it’s made up its mind to curtail the people’s liberties, will ever run out of excuses to do it! If it’s not Climbit Chainge, it’s “Online Safety.”

Is New Zealand still part of what they used to call “the free world”?

The mayor of Phoenix, AZ, wants her city to ban meat, dairy, and privately-owned cars by 203o (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/09/great-reset-radical-phoenix-mayor-kate-gallego-begins/). It’ll Save The Planet, dontcha know.

Who the blazes wants to live this way? No steak, no hamburgers, no chops, no milk, no ice cream, no cheese, and no going anywhere unless there’s a bus!

Phoenix is one of 14 U.S. cities, and supposedly over 100 world-wide, on board a globalist pipe dream called “the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. Funded by Mike “I am a god” Bloomberg and other Far Left magnates.

If freedom and prosperity can survive the next few decades, it’ll only be due to God’s personal intervention. Wicked and insane morons, in positions of (ugh!) authority, are running wild, seeking whom they might devour.

How could any civilized country have ever come to this? Have they no sense of shame? Are the world’s peoples addicted to servility?

We got this from Mozilla this morning, and it’s rather scary: they tested cars from 25 different manufacturers, globally, and found that all of them included equipment for spying on their owners.

What they found was a “full-blown data collection… a nightmare on wheels,” making today’s cars, they said, “the worst product category we have ever reviewed for privacy.” They report that 84 percent of car companies share or sell your data.

To whom? All sorts of people–whoever wants to buy it.

What kind of personal information are they selling? All kinds–including whatever they can dig up about your sex life.

And when they start sharing it with the (ahem!) “Justice Department,” all bets are off. Our predatory government will have the dirt on everybody. Comply or else… and don’t ask “or else what?”

We are so close to losing our freedom–having it snatched away from us, while we kid ourselves into thinking we can vote our way out of this.

“I will not comply.” This has to be our watchword.

And our hope must be in God. Evil empires rise in every generation. God makes sure they fall. No one else can do that.
