Paris Riots: 1968

After fighting the Wehrmacht, he wasn’t about to surrender to the rioters.

Remember the Paris riots of 1968? Far Left Crazy very nearly toppled the government of France.

But President Charles DeGaulle had been through worse than this. In 1940 he fought the panzer divisions invading his country. For the next five years he led the Free French. Those were dark days. Much darker than 1968.

DeGaulle refused to buckle. When all else failed, he put the military on high alert and managed to hold a special election. In that election, the sane and normal people in France gave his party an overwhelming victory. And the rioters faded back into the woodwork.

We need President Donald Trump to be as strong as DeGaulle. For a time in 1968, DeGaulle stood alone between France and anarchy. We need to rally around our president.

We can’t afford to lose this war. We’d lose our whole country, and I doubt we’d ever get it back.

They’ve Invaded My Home Town

There’s another plague been loosed on the world; and if the Red Chinese coronavirus doesn’t get us, this will.

The plague of race-hustling, character-debasing, mind-numbing, lying, loathsome… leftism. Mostly as practiced by white liberals with an insatiable need for virtue signalling.

We had it here on the corner of Main Street yesterday: some twentysomething white bacillus with his sign, “White Silence = Violence.”

Get it? If you don’t say what they want you to say, you have committed an act of violence! Actually, the only “violence” done here is to the English language.

The Democrat Party and the nooze media collude to try to make this “movement” look like it’s practically everybody and you must be a racist if you haven’t drunk the Kool-Aid. Internet trolls are adept at this: making half a dozen lefty losers look like ten thousand angry commenters.

Still, our town is a very small town, you wouldn’t think Far Left Crazy would even know it existed. But George Soros has deep pockets; and anyway the town’s full of liberals who want to be abused, who want to be found guilty of things they haven’t done.

This is anarchy. This is the path to a dictatorship. This is the way to the gulags. One more Democrat in the White House, and they’ll start setting up the camps.

Where is our resistance? Why are we not fighting this with all our might?

Once upon a time we would have.

‘Vintage Fake News: The Ford Pinto Scandal’ (2016)

You can get great video if you put a bomb in the gas tank.

Our free & independent nooze media have had a lot of practice cranking out fake news, going back many years. Here’s one of the classics of fake news: the Ford Pinto scandal.

Vintage Fake News: The Ford Pinto Scandal

Yes, they actually put bombs in the car to make it explode on camera so they could say the Ford Motor Co. was manufacturing four-wheeled deathtraps. I don’t remember any nooze executives going to jail for this.

But if you were a retiree with Ford stock, you were in for a pretty bad time–courtesy of our free & independent media.

‘Alleluia’

Let’s start off the day with a hymn by Tennessee Ernie Ford–Alleluia.

My wife has a consultation with the doctor this morning, so please keep us in your prayers.

Cats & Ducks

I guess if you’ve lived on a farm you’ll have seen this before, but for me it was a whole new combination: cats and ducks. I have learned that ducks have a lot of go to them.

Some of these interactions are quite friendly, some less so, but no one appears to get hurt. The one that really puzzled me was the yellow ducking grooming the kitten. How did he ever think of that? Do ducks groom each other? If not, maybe this video has just made history.

As the Poisons Hatch Out

This clip from the BBC’s I, Claudius series seems distressingly relevant today.

Republics die, usually by their own hand. Emperor Claudius, after absolutely everything has gone completely wrong, has named the evil lunatic, Nero, his successor as emperor. He thinks that Nero will be such a disaster that the Romans will have no choice but to bring back the republic. But when his adviser asks him why he has chosen to do this, Claudius’ reply is cryptic:

“Let all the poisons that lurk in the mud hatch out.”

Well, here and now in our republic, our poisons are hatching out all over.

God will have to intervene, if we are to survive this chaos.

Pray hard, pray several times a day–and work hard to stop this catastrophe. The people who are doing this to our cities want to do it to our country. And millions of voters will try to hand it over to them.

We’re finished, if they do.

More Anti-Police Madness

George Floyd death: 19 powerful images of nationwide protests - Insider

Are you absolutely, positively sure you want this, America?

Nine out of 13 members of the Minneapolis City Council say they will vote to defund and disband their city’s police department. What could go wrong?

But that’s not enough for Far Left Crazy. According to The Federalist, The Washington Post, among “several media outlets,” has also called for the abolition of police procedural TV shows (https://thefederalist.com/2020/06/08/dont-abolish-the-police-procedural-entertainment/). ‘Cause the shows are “unrealistic,” they say–like all the other TV shows are? Oh, please.

This feels like being on a bus where the driver has snorted angel dust and gone completely crazy, with a fatal accident looming as inevitable.

Minneapolis thinks social workers and, for all I know, poets, can do the job of the police. So if some creep breaks into your home in the middle of the night, you can call a social worker.

Criminals must be thinking that they’ve died and gone to heaven.

This and other suicidal follies is the end product of out-there Democrat ideology, and our country will be hard-put to survive it. They just can’t wait to get into the White House and do to the whole country what they plan to do to Minneapolis.

And look at all the people drinking all the Kool-Aid.

Where is our resistance? Why are we not pushing back against this madness with all our might? The people who are leading this charge belong in straitjackets. And so does anyone who votes for them.

God defend us.

A Totally Innocent and Harmless Little Post

Was Dracula Story inspired by Abhartach, the Bloodsucking Chieftain of Ireland? | Ancient Origins

I like happy little puppies, don’t you?

Meanwhile, back in Eastern Europe, descendants of the original Dracula are reaping huge public relations benefits from re-naming their group Transylvanian Lives Matter.

A visit to their secret site on the Dark Web reveals that the group’s aims and interests have not changed at all: feeding on the blood of the living, turning people into vampires, spreading fear and misery and violence everywhere (“Our mission is to spread fear and misery and violence everywhere,” says their Preamble). But suddenly the group is not only socially acceptable, but also politically ascendant.

“Changing our name changed everything!” exults the current president of the group, Count Vladimir Yorga. “Now, anyone who criticizes anything we do, or offers even the most trifling opposition, is immediately accused of believing that Transylvanian lives don’t matter! So the next time anyone asks you, ‘What’s in a name?’, tell them–‘Everything!’ In all honesty, we were getting nowhere the whole time we called ourselves Blood-sucking Abominations.”

(And let’s just see if I get away with this. But really, somebody does have to say something.)

Encore! ‘Oh, the Deep Love of Jesus’

Susan requested another showing of this wonderful hymn, and here it is–Oh, the Deep Love of Jesus, with Katie Gayduchik on the violin and Simon Khorolskiy doing the singing. And glorious background sets by God the Father.

If we ever need that love, O Lord, we need it now.
