Top Jesuit: Satan Only ‘a Symbol’

See the source image

It seems Catholics are no safer than Protestants from the false teaching  that keeps seeping into the Church.

Last week the top-ranked Jesuit said Satan is not a person but only a symbol that is “formed” by man’s imagination (https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/jesuit-superior-satan-is-a-symbolic-reality-60691). In May Pope Francis said Satan is a person, and is real; but he has yet to respond to this most recent example of false teaching.

We think we know figures of speech when we find them in the Bible. Satan is never presented as a mere symbol but always as the active adversary of the human race.

You’d think this current era–when “Clergy for Choice” act as cheerleaders for abortion, and “transgender” types are given space in the pulpit–demonstrates with stark clarity the reality of Satan. When New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo–Democrat, of course–publicly “celebrated” live birth abortion, Satan danced a jig in Hell.

I have heard that the Pope himself has been waffling on this, lately, as he has waffled on other fundamental issues of orthodox theology, but I haven’t been able to find any news articles about that. A sharp public rebuke to this Jesuit honcho would seem to be in order. Does anybody see it coming?

Sick Again!

I thought I was going to get through a weekend, for once, without an allergy attack. What ever gave me that idea? It found me in the middle of the afternoon and hasn’t stopped torturing me since.

I had a hellish night. Had no use of my nostrils until 5:30 in the morning.

This is at least the fourth weekend this summer that I’ve been afflicted. It’s gotten so I expect it. Can it be that I’ll be forced to sit and vegetate in yet another doctor’s office? I didn’t have any of this at all until mid-June.

And the tenant from Mordor has decided to build a “shed” for his motorized tricycle right outside my front door. The landlord lets him do anything he wants. I’m too sick to stop him.

‘When It Feels So Good to be Offended’ (2016)

She just saw a white guy eating Chinese food…

If some of these college jidrools ever had to go a day without being offended, they’d feel like they’d had no day at all.

When It Feels So Good to be Offended

Some of it’s our fault, though: we’re the sad sacks who fund those colleges. We’re paying for the students to learn how to be addle-pated, snarling, upside-down nonentities. Not just in the exorbitant tuition fees we cough up without a murmur of protest; public money, our taxes that we worked for, comes pouring into colleges and looniversities.

I was going to say we deserve a better product than they’re giving us. But do we? Do we?

‘Living for Jesus’

This hymn was an old Sunday school favorite. Indeed, I hadn’t heard it since way back when I was in Sunday school myself–Living for Jesus, sung by the students at a mission college in South Africa. Enjoy the beautiful harmony, and rejoice in the growth of the Church worldwide.

The Family Iguana

I had my iguana for 17 years; but this Japanese family had theirs for 23! Theirs even looks like mine, and the video brings me close to tears. (Average lifespan in captivity: ten years)

Iguanas are social animals, and they have to be socialized. Like mine, this iguana was thoroughly integrated into family life and the result was a wonderful pet. My iguana loved to cuddle with people–or dogs or cats, if no people were available. Would you believe it? He died in 1978, and I miss him still.

As you can see, these are really big lizards. But they start out little, and that’s when you should start teaching them how to be good. Believe me, they learn.

The only thing they can’t do as pets, assuming you raised them right, is… be furry!

Memory Lane: Your Own Toy Organ

A line from an ancient commercial floated through my mind: Whee, whee, whee, whee, whee! It’s Emenee! Holy cow, what made me remember that? Emenee toy organs, vintage 1960s.

Suddenly everybody had one. We had one in our house, my aunts had one in theirs, and Uncle Bernie in his. Emenee made all kinds of musical instruments for kids, but was best known for the organs. The one in the video, the guy bought from Goodwill for a mere $12. Old as the hills, and still works.

When Patty and I were first married, we used to go to Walden Books in the Menlo Park Mall in search of scary novels. Right outside the bookstore was a display of organs suitable for the home. Whenever you went, you could count on somebody sitting at the biggest organ, playing “Blue Spanish Eyes.”

Were more people making more music, back then? I think they were. And nothing was digital yet, the personal computer was decades away. But you could have your own organ.

‘Scientist’ Recommends Cannibalism

See the source image

Who’s going to clear off the table?

All right, all right, here’s one of those wretched nooze stories.

A Swedish “scientist” billed as a “behavioral scientist and marketing strategist” has publicly advocated cannibalism as a means of fighting Climate Change (https://www.climatedepot.com/2019/09/05/cannibalism-professor-says-eating-human-flesh-will-save-planet-from-climate-change/). He implied that “capitalists” are “too selfish” to be cannibals and “live sustainably.” He made these remarks at a food conference in Stockholm, where the Stockholm syndrome was invented.

Okay, here’s the highlight of his speech. Ready? You’ll want to learn it by heart. The quote:

“First of all, it is that the person who is to be eaten must be dead.” Give that man a Nobel Prize! Heck, the live ones yell “Ouch!” when you stick a fork in ’em, and keep trying to run away.

Can anyone deny this age is satanic?

A Belt of Courage: ‘King Alfred’s War Song’

We think we’ve got troubles? King Alfred, twelve hundred years ago–he had troubles! Heathen poured across the sea and swamped his kingdom, they’d have killed him if they’d caught him, he had to hide out in a peasant’s shack in the middle of a swamp…

And he wrote this: King Alfred’s War Song. “For the Lord is our defense, Jesu defend us!” I don’t know about you, but I need a belt of that just now.

Psalm 127: “My hope is in the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”

Someday the heathen will either be converted or destroyed. By their own hand, most likely.

Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. (Ephesians 6)

The Stuff I Didn’t Cover This Week

See the source image

There were nooze stories I suppose I should’ve reported this week, but didn’t. I just couldn’t bear to write them up. Mutants and monsters are taking over our world, and it’s getting not only demoralizing, but downright scary.

Arlington, Virginia, school district goes whole-hog for transgender–starting in kindergarten.

Sixty-something woman serves as surrogate mother… for her son… so he can have a baby with his… oh, God, get us out of this… husband.

“Scholar” from Sweden says we ought to practice cannibalism. It’ll help stop Climate Change, dontcha know.

What this world needs, sez presidential wannabe Crazy Bernie Sanders, is a heckuva lot more abortions. It’ll help stop Climate Change, dontcha know.

David Hogg the steaming idiot is back. Discussing the Wounded Knee massacre, he says the victims were “predominantly men, women, and children.” His high school teachers should be humanely drowned.

And so on and so on. Our civilization’s in deep, deep trouble. Any civilization that can produce such an innumerable host of imbeciles has got to be in trouble. Can you imagine a country actually run by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her playmates? I wake up screaming.

All of this rot set in during my own lifetime. It happened right in front of me, and yet I don’t know know how it happened. Where was the Church? Where were our fathers? What were we doing, that we couldn’t spare the time to fight this?

Questions and questions… and the answers are in short supply.

‘The Hatchery of Stalinism’ (2014)

See the source image

Since I wrote this little essay, we’ve had five years to fix this problem; and we haven’t so much as lifted a finger to do it.

The Hatchery of Stalinism

Our, ahem, colleges and universities are being used against us, purposely used to alienate young people from their country, to turn them into willing, brainless tools for would-be tyrants. And we let them do it.

Freedom is not natural to fallen man. It is rarely achieved and only maintained with difficulty.

Defund the colleges–before they put freedom out of business.
