Maybe the government shouldn’t spy on us so they can micromanage our lives for us! Maybe they shouldn’t be allowed even to consider doing things like this–

Woo-hoo, that’s old-fashioned! Imagine–limiting the power of government! How the dickens are they supposed to create utopia if we tie their hands behind them? Really, who knows better what you should be eating, day to day–you, or some faceless bureaucrat hooked up to an algorithm? Can we get modern here?

Blue State Governor Harriet Howlermonkey has consigned a sealed executive order to a safe deposit box, not to be opened until Oct. 1, 2120–one hundred years from now (www.ohcomeonnow.com).

Why not just open it after the governor’s term expires?

“We can’t even get a peek!” said Assembly Speaker Jack Innabox. “There’s another executive order forbidding us to peek, and we have to obey any executive order by the governor.

“We’ll just have to wait a hundred years, and then whoever’s around will have to do whatever the sealed order says.”

But what does the order say? Speculation abounds: everybody’s guessing. The staff at Eyewitless News lists the top five guesses:

*All non-citizens are now citizens, and all citizens are now non-citizens.

*No one in the state is allowed to sleep past 5 a.m.

*Face masks must be worn while you sleep, and social workers will come into your bedroom and check, every half hour.

*If you’re not in government, it will be against the law for you to have any kind of electricity. Even static electricity.

*Sandwiches must now be made with the bread inside and the contents outside.

“All we know,” said Innabox, “is that an order is an order and it must be obeyed!”

“Excuse me–is this the Biden rally?”

Gee! Which bad nooze should I cover this morning? There’s so much to choose from! I guess that’s always the case when a country is teetering on the edge of destruction and its enemies are yelling “Jump! Jump!”

So what should it be? California Gov. Gavin Noisome pledging to phase out the internal combustion engine by 2035–does he plan to still be governor in 2035? Or how about that big-hearted Democrat governor of Virginia, who says whenever there’s a botched abortion, just let the baby die. And ooh-ooh! Michigan’s Democrat governor sez her state will be “carbon-neutral” by 2050! I know witches live a long time, but that’s ridiculous. And I’m not sure what, exactly, “carbon-neutral” means, but I suspect it has something to do with Them taking away your air conditioning.

Or I could just cover the riots, ’cause there’s always riots now–somehow that’s supposed to get Democrats elected–or the drive to canonize Ruth Bader Ginsberg, or maybe the latest Hunter Biden crime festival… How do you choose?

Oh, boy! Looks like they’re headed for lifelong 24/7 supervision by government needleheads in dear old Britain. Say goodbye to adulthood, cousins!

Now a local government job center has ruled that the owner of a small salon can’t advertise for a part-time “happy, friendly stylist” because… wait for it… that would be “discriminatory” against UNHAPPY people!

No, I did not make this up.

What? Is happiness or unhappiness now an immutable characteristic, like skin color, which must be micro-managed by nimrods in the government? Once you’re unhappy, will you ever be allowed to be happy again? Well, gee, if you can change your flamin’ “gender” anytime you feel like it, you should be able to get some kind of drug or surgical procedure that’ll change your mood.

Is any human transaction too small for the government to interfere with?

Is the salon owner supposed to settle for a “hostile, terribly depressed” stylist? Someone who’ll say to a customer, “Siddown, you ugly cow! You think you’ve got troubles? Hah! My life sucks like you wouldn’t believe!” And then starts sobbing her eyes out.

Yeah. That’d be great for business.

And we consent to be ruled by these people?

We must be crazy, too.

CDC: 9,000 COVID-19 Deaths, Not 180,000

Coronavirus: Retail stores struggle to sustain, bring in customers

Does this look like a prosperous, busy city street to you?

First they told us 2.2 million of us were gonna die unless they shut the country down. Then we found out that prediction was based on a deeply-flawed, worthless computer model. But that didn’t make the Experts change their policies.

Now the Center for Disease Control is saying only 9,000 Americans died of COVID-19. The rest of the 180,000 deaths came to persons who already had a serious disease (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/08/shock-report-week-cdc-quietly-updated-covid-19-numbers-9210-americans-died-covid-19-alone-rest-serious-illnesses/). Covid finished some of them off. For the rest, it was simply one stress too many.

Is this why we had to quarantine healthy people? Is this why we had to let trillions of dollars go up in smoke? Is this why we had to allow Democrat mayors and governors to behave as Mussolini wannabes? This was a reason to destroy thousands of small businesses? This was why we shut down all the schools, too–but I’m not complaining about that. Public education needs to be shut down.

Is this what we’re going to do from now on, every time a disease comes along? There are many diseases more deadly than the Chinese Communist Doomsday Virus. Do we shut down for all of them? We can only enjoy our liberties when the environment is completely free of germs that cause disease?

For this we’ve trashed six months out of our year so far? Democrats were rooting for a recession; so they went out and made one.

This must never be allowed to happen again. Big Science has a lot to answer for.

Well, maybe they can slip something into your drinking water that’ll change your mind. And they can certainly “educate” your kids in public school to adopt a whole new value system devised by, oh, Chuck Schumer or someone like that.

Actually, it’s not that we really are living too long. With so many Democrats in the environment, it only feels like a very long time. Ten minutes of listening to them seems like an hour and ten minutes.

Rest assured that death panels would have only the best of intentions when exhorting you to kill yourself or let their, um, doctor do it.

How Much Protection is Too Much?

When are Democrat mayors and governors going to go back to letting people live like human beings? Well, never, if they can help it. They’ll have us in face masks forever, if they can.

But here we see, in the Chinese Commie Virus pandemic, a textbook example of weird statist ideology: the notion that the government should, and can, protect you from everything.

From fear, from disappointment, from hunger and thirst; from heat, from cold, from pain; from harsh language, offensive language, and hard-to-pronounce language; from death, from illness, from injury…

And once they set their minds on doing that, they’re guaranteed to fail.

Against COVID-19 they came up with the unprecedented response of shutting down the national economy and throwing millions of us out of work. Thousands of small businesses perished in The Great Quarantine.

Now, either this response was justified by COVID-19 being a uniquely deadly and dangerous disease, or not. We know now that it is not uniquely deadly and dangerous, that there are many germs and viruses far more harmful than COVID-19: so the response is not justified. Because, if it is, we would have to have the same kind of response to any number of diseases. Clearly, that way madness lies.

Or we could live our lives in hazmat suits, costing around a thousand bucks a pop. Only to be taken off with the permission of the governor!

Or we could just keep masking and social distancing ourselves until people just can’t take it anymore and the whole thing blows sky-high.

This all started with chuck-full-of-error computer models that told us 2 million Americans were gonna die. After they found out that the models were pure crapola, did they call off the quarantine? Heck, no! They were having too much fun!

We were wrong to give them so much power. And we’d be even more wrong to let them keep it.

Can you say “symbol of submission”? Maybe they’ll put people on leashes next.

It’s the same damned thing as all those UN wallahs trying to get regular people to eat bugs.

Tyrants govern by eroding people’s self-respect. Go ahead, try to get taken seriously while wearing a doggie cone.
