It’s not to keep freedom out. It’s to keep freedom in.

How about it, boys ‘n’ girls (see–only two genders, no matter what Democrats say)? Have you grown any comfier with the idea of speech and religious freedom confined to named zones designated by the government? Heck, if you’re in college, you’re totally used to it by now.

How About Just ‘Some’ Religious Freedom?

Get it through your heads, everybody. Libs and progs will not stop until they’ve turned our country into a Third World hell-hole. That is what they want. We don’t know why they want it. Who can read such depraved minds?

Georgia Gwennit College was only one of hundreds of colleges with speech codes, free speech zones, etc. But now those hijinks are going to cost the college $800,000 (https://www.thecollegefix.com/college-will-pay-800000-to-settle-free-speech-lawsuit-filed-by-silenced-christian-student/).

In 2016 the college silenced a Christian student who tried to evangelize on campus. He got permission to do so in one of the “designated free speech zones,” but that was taken away because “someone complained.” (See how far you get, “complaining” about Critical Race Theory.) So was born a lawsuit brought by the Alliance Defense Fund representing the Christian student. The $800,000 is an out-of-court settlement. We can only imagine what the college would have to be if the case had gone to trial.

But as usual, the Far Left bullies backed down when it came time to go to court.

And this year Georgia passed a state law abolishing “free speech zones.” The Constitution makes the entire United States a free speech zone.

Gwennit College tried to weasel out of it in 2021 by “amending” its speech code “to bring it into line with the Constitution,” but a court ruled that didn’t let them off the hook for abuses perpetrated earlier.

Of course, no amount of fines or penalties will really hurt a college–not when they can just raise the tuition at will and get federal money for promoting transgender.

People staying away from college and not sending their children there, letting these schools go out of business and die–that will stop the abuses.

The Regime’s new assistant secretary of education, Ima Thugg, has complained about the “free speech zones” found on many college campuses.

“It don’t matter how small they are!” said Ms. Thugg, who has half a doctorate in Gender Studies that she got when she was a woman, and another half she got as a “man.” “I don’t care if it ain’t no bigger than a postage stamp! Because guess what! The sound carries outside the free speech zone! It defeats the whole porpoise of the thing!”

Ah! But there is an answer to the problem. “I seen this on TV,” said Dr. Thugg, “it was in a education show called Get Smart. They had this thing called The Cone of Silence that came down on top of them when they wanted to talk in private and didn’t want no one to hear what they said.

“So if you was to go into the free speech zone and this here plastic cone came down on top of you so that nobody could hear you, then even if you said Hate Speech or something it wouldn’t matter because you’d be in the Cone of Silence and nobody would hear anything you said! And that takes care of any stupid First Amendment problems!”

The Dept. of Education will now seek approval from the Chinese Communist Party to spend $355 billion on cones of silence.

Ohio Passes Campus Free Speech Act

The Ohio Senate has unanimously approved a law to permit free speech at colleges and universities and do away with “free speech zones” (https://www.zerohedge.com/political/ohio-state-lawmakers-unanimously-pass-campus-free-speech-bill-professors-oppose-effort).

A “free speech zone” is a tiny piece of the campus where they allow some semblance of free speech, while restricting it everywhere else.

Opposed to the bell was [trumpet fanfare]… the American Assn. of University Professors. Speech has just got to be restricted at a university, these vegetables–oops, sorry, I mean “intellectuals”–argued… because allowing a “controversial” speaker to speak–they mean a speaker who’s not a leftid–might cause “massive disruptions” that kan’t be kontrolled by the kampus kops.

Gee. Doesn’t that give Far Left Crazy total veto power over who’s allowed to speak? All they have to do is threaten a disruption, and the speaker’s not allowed.

Let the record show that the American Assn. of University Professors is opposed to free speech on campus.

Dudes! Under the Constitution–you know: the law of the land–there’s only one free speech zone in America. It runs from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and from Canada to Mexico.

Defund the colleges and universities. They don’t deserve public money, and they certainly don’t earn it.

Another Good Guy Victory!

Wow, three in one week! That’s got to be some kind of record.

We salute Marquitta Ford, who just a few days ago finally prevailed in a two-year-long struggle against PC tyranny in the state of Georgia (https://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen3/18a/MR-GA-Marquitta-protest-and-arrest/court-win.html). Hail, Marquitta! We need more like you!

In 2016, Far Left Crazy in Georgia, abetting Organized Sodomy, put on a full-court press to allow men to invade women’s public rest rooms. All alone, with a hand-lettered sign–leftids always carry professionally-printed protest signs, and we always wonder who’s paid for it–Marquitta Ford protested outside the Georgia state house. For three months. Until the state government decided “to set an example” to scare off other protesters, and tried to shoo her away to some ridiculous “free speech zone” where speech is free because no one’s there to see or hear you. When she wouldn’t go, two cops arrested her; and she spent 36 hours in the county jail.

Uh, what was her crime? Why was she in jail?

First they charged her with some horse**** about “unlawful activities” in or around the state capitol. Then they discovered the State Supreme Court had voided that law back in 2006. So then they charged her with “disobeying a lawful order of a police officer.”

Terrified of having the LBGT crowd sent after them, pro bono lawyers refused to take Ms. Ford’s case. But Mass Resistance and Eugene DelGaudio’s Public Advocate organization shopped around until they found a really good lawyer, and agreed to pony up his fee. As for Ms. Ford, she rejected offers to plea-bargain–because she wasn’t guilty of anything!

As it turned out, they tried twice to have a trial, but both times, neither of the arresting officers showed up in court. After the second no-show, the judge dismissed the case. After two years of persecution, Ms. Ford is off the hook.

Why do these things happen, in a country full of Christians? Why are Far Left extremists allowed to bully the whole population?

And why do we allow it to be so?

PC Prof Gets a Dose of His Own Medicine

A district court in California–of all places–has chastised a Fresno State University professor for harassing pro-life students and trying to restrict their First Amendment right to free speech (https://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2017/11/11/pro-life-student-group-wins-settlement-after-professor-tries-to-wipe-out-chalk-message/).

Did you ever think you’d see that happen? I’m astounded. Permit me to go outside and turn a cartwheel. [Returns from doing cartwheel.]

In addition to making him pay $17,000 to settle the case, the judge sentenced the leftid dingbat to… “First Amendment training”… to be provided by the Alliance Defending Freedom, the conservative lawyers’ group who represented the pro-life students. Man, that’s got to hurt! It’s the mirror image of the Maoist “sensitivity training” that our stupid colleges have inflicted upon thousands of students who didn’t have the right mind-set. A dose of their own medicine.

The pro-life students, with permission of the college authorities, chalked their message on a sidewalk. Mr. Prefesser “recruited” some of his students to help him harass and intimidate the plaintiffs and erase their message. His reasoning, if you can call it that, was that this sort of non-PC speech was restricted to the university’s “free speech zone” and could not be practiced outside of it.

Dude! There’s only one free speech zone in America! Its boundaries are the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Fresno State got rid of its “free speech zone” in 2015, but it looks like Mr. Prefesser didn’t know that. Or maybe he was just feeling nostalgic for the good old days of the Great Cultural Revolution.

Whatever the case, this is whacking good news and we want to see lots and lots more of it. Force the leftids to wear the steel wool undies that they’ve picked out for the rest of us. Make ’em howl.

Because it’s their turn.

How can America preserve religious freedom–guaranteed in the First Amendment to the Constitution–while at the same time preserving the right of homosexuals to force Christians to perform actions against their conscience and their faith?

The city of Gomorrah, New York, has the answer.

Here, the city council has passed the Kinda-Sorta Religious Freedom Ordinance, which sets up six Religious Freedom Zones around the city. Each is roughly the size of an old-fashioned public phone booth.

Explained Mayor Bill Zebub, “Anyone who steps into a Religious Freedom Zone, for as long as he remains inside it, cannot be forced to say or do anything against his beliefs. Within the zone, absolute freedom of conscience prevails.

“Outside the zone, of course, everyone, including Christians, must obey any order given by a gay or lesbian or trans person. To do otherwise is to be guilty of Hate, and Hate is a very bad emotion. It will not be allowed to exist within the city limits of Gomorrah.”

The city has authorized a Human Rights Whipping Post, with rack and thumbscrews reserved for “particularly difficult cases.”

“We got the idea from the Free Speech Zones you find on many college campuses,” the mayor said. “After all, the First Amendment doesn’t say where you have freedom of speech or freedom of religion! All it requires is that you have freedom somewhere in America. Nor does it say how large that somewhere has to be.”
