Let’s see… which disgusting news story should I cover this morning? Little fake willies for “trans kids”? Nah. That’s too disgusting. The latest “proof” of Climbit Change, and hand over all yo’ money and sign over all yo’ freedom or else you’re all gonna die? Nah.
Meanwhile, at St. Peter’s Square in Rome, a crazed topless feminist from the Ukrainian nut squad “Femen” tried to snatch the baby out of the Vatican’s Nativity scene, but was stopped by guards (https://ca.news.yahoo.com/topless-femen-activist-tries-snatch-jesus-statue-vatican-142152293.html). The loon repeatedly shouted the slogan “God is woman!”, which she also had scrawled on her back. Femen, she declared, seeks “complete victory over patriarchy.”
Honk if you like feminism.
Of course, all these weird news items are interrelated, all part of the same thing: trying to base a whole culture on pure Godlessness, and then watching it melt down into chaos. This pleases Satan.
They’d crucify Jesus again, if they could.
But when he comes again, it won’t be for a second crucifixion.
He will come as a purifying wind, and there will be none of this stuff left. Forever.
The Bible makes it plain that when Our Lord Jesus Christ comes again, it won’t be for another crucifixion. The sacrifice was made once, and only once: it will not be repeated. When He comes again, it will be to judge the quick and the dead, and to establish His Kingdom on the earth. He will straighten out this mess.
But I need the Lord’s guidance on another point that’s not so clear.
I’m hearing talk, these days, of great persecutions coming, persecutions of the Church, and how we’d better be ready, we’re going to have to pay with our lives for our devotion to Christ–or at least go into slavery or second-class citizenship. And so on.
So we’re supposed to stand down, do nothing, while the ungodly, who hate the Lord, devour our civilization? Just let them do it? Anything they want?
There was such a chapter in Christian history, and a long and bloody one at that. Are we expected to repeat it? Allow ourselves to be trodden down by transgenders, atheists, “gay” activists, black racists, the crime syndicate of Washington D.C.?
The Bible tells us to overcome evil with good. How do we do that?
Do we wait for Christ’s return, for Him to sort it out, knowing it might be yet another two thousand years? Or do we say, “Enough, we’ve had it, we’re taking back our country”? Is it God’s will for those who hate Him and hate His people to rule over His world?
I really can’t think so. We have done a lot of things wrong in history, calling ourselves God’s people but acting more like Satan’s. But I think it would be doing wrong to fail to oppose the aggressors. Too Pharisaical by half. Like walking past a couple of goons beating an innocent person to death, and making like you never saw it. That’s not Christianity. That’s just cowardice.
What do we do, Lord? What do we do?

I don’t have time, just now, to say much more about it. Only that it’s yours for a mere $80 (aaaghhh!), and it does show you what constitutes worship for leftids. Hey, let’s hear it for the chief of the Clinton White House Bimbo Eruption Team! And her (ugh) “iconic white suit.”
Tomorrow the U.S. Supreme Court will begin hearing a case whose outcome could abolish religious and artistic freedom in America: Masterpiece Cakeshop Ltd. vs. Colorado Civil Rights Commission (http://www.syracuse.com/opinion/index.ssf/2017/12/cake_wars_supreme_court_to_hear_case_on_artistic_expression_civil_rights.html).
In 2012 the state of Colorado crushed a Christian baker who refused to obey a demand that he create a custom cake for a “wedding” between two men. He claimed religious and artistic freedom. His custom cakes are works of art, each one unique; and no one ever questioned his policy of not creating cakes with alcohol content or cakes celebrating Halloween. There were, of course, countless other bakers who would have agreed to make the cake: but Big Sodomy and Big Government were determined to make an example of this baker. Scare all the others, don’t you know.
There are four flaming liberals on the Court who might as well not even hear the arguments: they will always vote against religious liberty. Then there’s Justice Anthony Kennedy, who once again finds himself acting as the most powerful man in America, a virtual dictator. Kennedy has a history of being head over heels in love with “gay rights,” so I think we know what he’s going to do. And presto, that’s five votes, and that’s the end of any meaningful application of the First Amendment.
Armed with this precedent, the “gays” can wage war on Christians in any field of public expression, be it art or politics. They will claim the right and the authority, backed up by the government, to dictate the content of works of art.
As a novelist, this makes me fear for my future. All it’ll take is one gay activist demanding that I include gay characters in my books: I refuse, and next thing I know, some (LOL) “civil rights” agency rules that I can’t write any more books, sentences me to sensitivity training, and threatens me with prison.
Think it can’t happen? Well, it already has, in Britain: an artist punished for not including content in his art that the government decided ought to be included. Seems the characters in his story lines weren’t “diverse” enough. His stories about rural English villages were too English. I will be astonished if the Supreme Court doesn’t pounce on this opportunity to destroy religious freedom in America once and for all–to establish as a matter of law the principle that the only rights that count are “gay” rights: all others are to be subordinated.
Not just England, of course–all of Western civilization needs to be included in this question.
And God help us, when we see what they turn to in Christ’s place…

On a poster created and circulated by the university’s Center for Student Involvement, a promotion for some kind of campus event on the subject of “hate speech”–translation: any deviation, no matter how small, from neo-Marxist liberal booshwa–we find the saying “You Need Jesus” lumped in with “Build a Wall,” “No More Gays,” and “Women Need to Serve Their Man,” all of them as examples of hate speech. This is Waverly Baptist Church in Wheelers Hill, Australia, vandalized in the night by advocates of “love is love,” etc. I don’t think the message is just an idle thought.
This is, when you get down to business, a religious war. Are we to worship God and obey His word–or worship an idol we have created with our own hands, and be ruled by it? For “gay rights” and all the rest of it is an idol, man-made, a cover for sinful man exalting himself as righteous god.
In a couple of weeks we’ll see whether the voters of Australia can summon up enough decency to preserve marriage in the form in which God ordained it, or will allow themselves to be bullied and hornswoggled into giving it up.
If it was America, of course, pseudomarriage would be soundly voted down by the people and then imposed on them by a couple of judges.
Would you believe only 15 percent of the people in England identify as members of the Church of England?
That more than half the people in the United Kingdom say they have “no religion” at all? And in the 18-25 age group, that figures balloons up to 71%.
Well, that’s what a national poll says (http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-41150792). In fact, when they started taking it in 1983, the “no religion” group was only 31%–already too large for comfort.
Hey, but not to worry! As a replacement for Christianity, a lot of Britons have joined “secular assemblies” that “celebrate life.” And probably don’t get on your case for having an abortion. As one young woman said, when she comes to one of those important junctures in her life, ” I turn to my friends” instead of God. What a depressing thought.
Britain, cradle of saints: Patrick, Gildas, Kentigern, Ninnian, David, Oswald, and so many more. What happened to your Christianity?
A lot of people worked very, very hard to make it go away. In government, in what they are pleased to call “education,” and in what is even more sardonically tagged as “entertainment.” Worked night and day, every night and every day, for years. While the Church of England fatzed around with–well, I don’t know what.
I am an American. Great Britain is my mother country, and I grieve for it. What the Kaiser and Hitler couldn’t do to her people, their own popular culture has.
I would say “Rest in peace,” but I very much doubt that Britain’s rest will be peaceful.
