These Newswithviews columns come out of my hide. This week’s essay I wrote and sent in on Monday. It should have been published this morning.
Well, it ain’t there.
This is rather trying.
If anybody’s out there wondering if I just didn’t bother to write one this week–well, I did; and it has not appeared. *Sigh*
Update: I am told my column will appear tomorrow. Well, at least it didn’t get lost.
Some readers were kind enough to call this Newswithviews piece one of the best things I’ve ever written. I thought we might revisit it.
Does 2020 seem a long time ago to you? It does to us. America and other countries have been forced to eat a lot of **** since New Year’s 2020.
Honk if you think the globalists are doing a great job of running the show.
Not only do they enrich themselves at our expense, snatching the food out of our mouths so they can have private jets. They’re also convinced that they’re entitled to it.
“Viva yo!” means “Long live me! I come first! Out of my way!” It is the credo of our ruling class–which includes our celebrities and academics, in case you haven’t noticed. They want the rest of us to stand in awe of them. ‘Cause they’re on TV! And they wouldn’t be on TV unless they were way better than us! You’re not on TV, are you?
God help us.
I somehow managed to grind out a Newswithviews piece after missing the call for three weeks. I must be getting better. That’s surprising.
The stuff we put up with from our public educators! I can’t imagine why we tolerate it. You could write thick books about it–every day there’s a new outrage.
Where does this stop? Or doesn’t it?
Democrats want to lower the voting age to 16–a sign of mortal desperation.
Wow. The high school student vote.
Is there anything these people won’t do to gain and keep power?
What will they promise high school kids, to get their votes? Oh, I know! The right to ground your parents.
That ought to fetch ’em.
I wasn’t able to write a Newswithviews column this week. I worked so hard, finishing The Witch Box, that other jobs just piled up on me.

What? A Christmas column inspired by 1 Corinthians Chapter 1?
You bet.
Merry Christmas, everybody–and here’s to the day, by the grace and power of God, we get our freedom back.
For over 200 years, modern pagans have been living off the moral capital of Christianity. They want what Christianity has to offer, but they don’t want to pay for it.
Be it the “settled science” of Charles Darwin, or the glorified slob appeal of an antique popular song, “You Are a Child of the Universe,” they want God’s blessings without God–blessings handed down by no one in particular. Natural selection. The Universe. Ee-yi-ee-yi-oh.
(I based this column on Romans 8:28; but Romans Chapter 1 powerfully suggests itself: worshiping the creation, not the creator.)
So the European Union’s “Equality Minister” (it only hurts when I laugh) wanted to erase Christmas from the calendar and do away with “non-inclusive” names like John and Mary… and only retracted it after the Vatican freaked out.
Let’s see if we can explain something to you left-wing jidrools out there. No harm in trying!
The whole flamin’ point of any name at all is to be un-inclusive. To distinguish its owner from the other people in the room. Like, if you’ve got a hall with 500 people in it and every single one of them is named Johnny Koltanowski (even the women), all you have is chaos and futility. Or if everybody there has no name at all, other than “comrade” or “Hey, you!” Names serve a purpose. Just like words do!
Helpful hint: If your government has an equality minister, or any kind of diversity honcho, then your government is way too big and has way too much money, and greatly needs whittling down.
Our government doesn’t like us much. In fact, it despises us.
Which explains a lot of the nooze we see today.
It’s as if a foreign power conquered us, and ground us down under their alien “woke” ideology. And anyone who rises up against it will be sorry!
I do remember when the people on the school board were your friends and neighbors.
Now it’s more like a bunch of comissars imported via time machine from the Soviet Union, circa 1950.
And the rest of the government’s worse.
Yeesh! Remember this? It’s what you get when you think you’re wiser and better than God.
Everyone has rules to live by–even “progressives.” (Don’t you hate that label? There’s something so self-congratulatory about it. Especially when applied to a bunch of saps.)

As icing on the cake, you have to say all the same things they say because if you don’t… “Silence is violence!” The fact that it’s not, doesn’t faze them for a minute.
