The Wrong Kid on the School Board

Chairman Mao County, Maryland, has a problem with its school board.

One of the eight board members is to be a public school student, aged 11 to 16, and all public school kids, 11-16, are allowed to vote for this board member–who, if elected, will get to vote on school district policies and expenditures, just like the adult members.

That was working just fine until the last election, when the wrong child got elected. The adult members got together yesterday for a secret meeting to discuss what to do about it: for 12-year-old Osgood Pennyworth just isn’t fitting in.

“It’s all that tomfool middle school principal’s fault!” groused Mr. Bolgani. ” He’s supposed to ensure that only the right kind of student runs for this office. How did Pennyworth slip past him? Was he drunk again?”

“Please, comrade!” said Ms. Dango. “How was he to know what kind of influence this wretched capitalist child’s parents would have on him? I told you we should’ve coughed up the money for those in-home surveillance cameras!”

Ms. Histah complained, “The child’s family is the problem–the parents are non-intersectional, cissexual, cisgender, non-inclusive Racists! I think from now on we have to separate the Youth Member from xer family for as long as xe sits on the board.”

“The problem is parents, period!” grumbled Mr. Tublat. “Get rid of the parents and you get rid of the problem. We’ve already separated the parents from their money. Now could we please get down to the business of separating them from their children? The family is an archaism! In the interests of pure education, it has to go!”

Far into the night ran the secret meeting. In the end, a proposal to “whack” young Osgood Pennyworth failed by one vote.

The board will meet again tomorrow.

Idaho May Ban “Teaching Racism” in Schools

Idaho’s House Education Committee has proposed a bill to ban “racist filth” from being taught in the state’s public schools (https://www.bigcountrynewsconnection.com/idaho/bill-would-prohibit-students-from-learning-about-racism-and-sexism/article_e17ac3b6-e2f0-5061-8732-d99661994c7d.html). Schools that teach it anyway would, for starters, lose 10% of their state funding.

What do they mean by “teaching racism”? Among other things, the proposed law would ban the teaching of the following:

*Your own race can make you “unconsciously racist”

*You are responsible, personally, for bad things done by other people in the past

*”Merit-based systems” are inherently racist/sexist/blah-blah

*The whole state of Idaho is racist.

I think that would qualify as “racist filth,” don’t you?

Democrats don’t, though. All the Democrats on the committee walked out to protest the discussion. They, of course, want the schools to teach such things.

Many things have to happen before this proposal is enacted into law; but you’ve got to start somewhere, and here’s as good a place as any. Idaho, we salute you.

Our public schools are used by Far Left teacher unions and “education” theorists to indoctrinate children into hating themselves and hating their country. The Democrat Party is solidly committed to this enterprise. Those campaign contributions by the teacher unions are the chief cause of this.

We believe public education is too far gone to be reformed and that the whole system ought to be scrapped. Children are better off in Christian schools or in homeschooling.

Go ahead–try to convince us that teaching self-hate and anti-Americanism is something we ought to be doing with our school tax dollars.

I hope that book is not a voting guide for two-year-olds.

We’ve heard Squeaker of the House Nancy Pelosi call for the voting age to be lowered to 16; but Howard County, Maryland, has lowered it to… ten!

Yes, a 10-year-old can vote in Howard County–in the school board election (https://publicinterestlegal.org/blog/pilf-client-demands-end-to-howard-county-md-school-boards-election-scheme-that-lets-children-vote-for-school-board/). The kiddies can elect a “student member” who can vote on policy with the adults.

Of course a lawsuit has been filed over this. But meanwhile, if you want to be eligible to vote for the student member of the board, you’ve got to be at least in 6th grade, up to 11th, and attending a public school. If you attend a religious school, you don’t get a vote–although your family still has to pay the taxes that fund the public schools that they don’t use.

There are eight members on the board: two elected at large, five to represent residential districts, and the student member.

See if you can follow this. If you’re an ordinary adult resident, you are represented by three board members: the two elected at large, and the one from your own neighborhood. But if you are a 12-year-old living next door, you are represented by four members, the student member being added to the other three. Not quite fair, says the lawsuit; and not constitutional, either: violates the 14th Amendment.

Now, Democrats want incarcerated felons and illegal aliens voting. Of course they want the kiddies voting, too! Kids in public school are being indoctrinated by Far Left Crazy teacher unions every day–of course Democrats want them voting!

The plan is to turn ordinary Americans into a powerless minority in their own country.

And so far it’s working.

In Loudon County, Virginia, a coven calling itself “Anti-Racist Parents of Loudon County” is trying to recruit hackers to “silence” and “expose” any parents who have questioned, criticized, or been appalled by the school district’s devotion to “critical race theory” (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/03/teachers-plot-parents-question-racial-curriculum/).

I hear a sane person asking, “What’s that?” Well! “Critical Race Theory,” CRT for short, teaches that all white persons are racists, all guilty of racism, and must all be made to suffer for it. And you are not allowed to disagree! ‘Cause if you do, the “anti-racist parents,” most of whom are “teachers” or former teachers, will do their racketeering best to make your life a hell.

There’s a rumor that some George Soros money is involved in this. Soros money elected a Far Left Crazy county prosecutor, who apparently is going to allow these, um, “parents” to racketeer to their hearts’ consent.

Meanwhile the county sheriff is “reviewing the situation.” Whatever that means.

If you thought that last school nooze was bad, get a load of this. No, I’m not making it up. And yes, it’s California again. One is tempted to add “of course.”

The question must be asked: are our nation’s “educators” in general, and California’s in particular, all stark, raving mad? Next question: Why do we tolerate this? Why do we tamely pay our taxes for it? Why do we continue to send our children to these schools to be taught such wicked nonsense? Maybe we’re the ones who are crazy.

And now they’re singin’ the blues because the commie cockroaches who run the school are teaching the kiddies that America is an evil bad country and all you kids are guilty, capitalism is bad and all you kids are guilty, and everything is racist and it’s all your fault… and for some reason, the kids are coming home depressed.

Really? Holy cow.

On top of all that, if the parents wish to discuss their misgivings, they have to meet secretly… because “they could face profound repercussions.”

Like what? “Stop talkin’ about us or we’ll kick your kid outta our school and he won’t be able to go to Yale.” Yeesh, say it ain’t so!

I can’t even imagine what $40,000 worth of “education” looks like–can you? (Yeahbut, yeahbut! You’ll get into a really great college and be a member of the elite!)

If you spend that kind of money to send your kids to that kind of school, you are not only a pathetic fool wanting in self-respect–no: you are sinning against your own children–and against your country, too, while you’re at it. Where do you think “Arm Iran!” freaks like John Kerry come from? They aren’t born. They’re made!

America is under attack from within, by the Far Left Crazy–and they do not intend for our country to survive. Please, people, get that through your heads! These are not fuzzy-minded, misguided but benign hippies trying to make a better world. If you want to see the kind of world they make, visit North Korea, China, or Cuba.
