So Patriotism is Bad?

Our neighbor recently put up a yard sign. It can’t match the professionally printed sign, above, for production values; but it does deliver the same sort of message.

Our neighbor’s sign, hand-scrawled, says “Patriotism=Scoundrels.” I guess they didn’t like the results of the last election. It also has one of those “not allowed” symbols, a circle with a slash through it, next to the word “Clingers.” That must refer to those Americans famously denounced by President *Batteries Not Included as “clinging bitterly to their god and their guns.”

Well, as long as liberal politicians can’t offer eternal life, forgiveness of sins, and regeneration of the soul, I think it would be much wiser to continue to cling to God, who can and will do all those things.

My question is: “Who is this sign’s audience?” Who is it for? I remember these people voted for Nader in 2000 and then were outraged that Algore lost the election to George W. Bush. But do they really think “patriotism,” whatever they think it may be, is bad? And if it is, what do they propose to put in its place?

The last may be one of those questions it’s better not to know the answer to.

Trump’s Supreme Court Pick: a Monster!

Neil Gorsuch, from the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, President Donald Trump’s pick to succeed the late Justice Scalia on the Supreme Court, is “worse than the monster that hides under your bed!” according to Democrat sources.

“Here’s what we’ve got on him so far,” said Democrat operative Nick Belial.

As a young child, Gorsuch practiced vampirism and terrorized his neighborhood.

An original member of the Nazi Party, Judge Gorsuch was drinking buddies with Hermann Goering. He also owns at least 14 slaves, whom he forces to live in shabby lean-tos throughout the Rocky Mountain winter.

Gorsuch has been married seven times and murdered his first six wives, whose bodies are believed to be concealed in various places around his opulent 300-room mansion which he purchased with the workers’ blood. His current “wife” is only 11 years old.

He has personally exterminated three minority groups.

In his spare time, Gorsuch leads a home invasion team that breaks into private homes, battering and terrorizing the residents before robbing them.

A hopeless alcoholic, Gorsuch is addicted to 27 different illegal drugs which he obtains from the Hell’s Angels, with whom he maintains an on-again off-again membership. He is also a member of the Ku Klux Klan and has been caught plotting to destroy the planet.

“We’re just getting warmed up!” said Belial. “Wait’ll you hear the really bad stuff we’ve got on this guy! And oh, by the way–that other nominee, Hardiman, I think his name is–well, he was Jack the Ripper!”

‘The Progressives’ Guide to Talking to Regular Americans’

The following are excerpts from a pamphlet that will be distributed at the upcoming Democrat retreat in West Virginia, The Progressives’ Guide to Talking to Regular Americans.

*We are perplexed that “regular Americans,” who do not live in large urban centers, rejected our party and our candidate in the 2016 national elections. This aberration must be corrected!

For some unfathomable reason, yelling at these people, calling them names, making fun of them, and running down everything that they hold sacred just doesn’t seem to be working anymore. Well, it’s like yelling at a bunch of bowling pins, isn’t it? So we must modify our approach, and here are a few suggestions for doing so…

*Patiently and kindly explain to these stupid people just how stupid they are. They haven’t grasped that yet.

*In a friendly and winsome manner, explain to them just how lucky they are to have wise intellectuals like us to guide them, and what a calamity it would be for them to make important decisions without our guidance.

*Patiently teach them to understand just how wrong, stupid, outdated, wicked, and absurd their values are, especially their religious notions, and how wise they would be to abandon their values and accept our values in their place.

*We recommend no further action on a proposal to rename Washington, D.C., “Obamagrad.” Our focus groups didn’t think much of it.

*Use star power! Convince them that they, too, can be beautiful and cool like Beyonce and Lady Gaga if only they believe and vote as Beyonce and Lady Gaga do. Success is virtually guaranteed! Even 65-year-old academics with grey ponytails want to be beautiful and cool like Beyonce and Lady Gaga.

*Finally, if all else fails, simply pretend to agree with these fools, tell them what they want to hear, and, once you’re back in office, the hell with ’em! This has always worked for Republicans, and it’s a cinch to work for us, too!

Just In: ‘The March for Science’

Well, hey, if a lot of angry foul-mouthed feminists can do it, Climate Change kooks can do it, too–a big fat march on Washington.

They’re organizing right now to “take a stand for science in politics” ( http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2017/01/26/first-women-now-scientists-march-washington/97079742/ ). So much for not politicizing science.

But of course what they’re really going to march for is Climate Change/Global Warming, which they like to call “facts with no alternatives,” and all the colossal Big Government action which that would entail. It’s just the same old Save The Planet crap–the biggest and best excuse lefties have ever come up with for their insatiable appetite for more and more power over regular people’s lives. Never mind it’s been repeatedly shown to be just fudged data and outright lies.

It cannot be denied that throughout earth’s history, local and regional climates change all the time. These are natural processes and no government, no matter how much power it grabs with both hands, can control them.

We can expect to see a lot of “marches” by a lot of left-wing losers over at least the next year or two.

Thankfully, we now have a president who has the courage and the common sense to ignore them. And we should, too.

You Just Can’t Get Racism Out of the Democrat Party

When Michael Moore advised Democrats to run even farther to the left than they do already, I never thought they’d actually listen to him. But it seems they are.

In the scramble for the Democrat National Committee chairmanship, Sally Boynton Brown, a kook from Idaho, has vaulted ahead by running against “the white leaders of our party” ( https://news.grabien.com/story-dnc-chair-candidates-bash-white-people-racially-charged-foru ). She herself is white.

As DNC chair, Ms. Brown described her job like so: “My job is to shut other white people down.” Right on, Sally. And don’t forget to shut men down, too. And in a flourish of liberal condescension, “I am talking to people of color because you have the answers.” Is it just me, or does that sound like something Archie Bunker would say if he was trying to be nice to a Negro?

“I am not a politician,” said Ms. Brown. Well, yeah, I think most of us could go along with that.

This is what has become of one of our two major political parties. But then the Democrat Party has been racist since the 1870s. They used to be the party that told black people to shut up and do as they were told. Now they’re the party that tells white people to shut up and do as they’re told. The target changes; the racist mind-set stays the same.

Nothing good can happen to America until the Democrat Party is put out of business for good.

Be Not Affrighted

I’ve encountered some uneasiness today about the big “women’s marches” in Washington D.C. and elsewhere ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4142950/Thousands-women-head-Washington-protest-Trump.html ). They did have large turnouts, evidence that these events were planned and organized well in advance–and probably paid for, too. And some of us saw this sea of angry feminists and understandably were shaken by it.

Well, don’t be.

For one thing, more than anything else, this was a march for abortion. That’s not a cause that’s going to win over anyone but other feminists, nor appeal to anyone but them and already-ironbound liberals.

Look, if ugliness, meanness, and threats could win the day, there’s no way Democrats lose the election. But they did lose, in spite of all the dirty tricks they pulled, in spite of all the threats, the rent-a-mobs, and the spectacular amount of money that they spent. They had all the nooze media behind them, too, and all the academic establishment.

And they lost.

This is our historic opportunity to crush and bury liberalism in this country. We do not have to turn into 50 Californias. The American people won the election in spite of everything the Left could do: and now we have to build on it.

I don’t care how many feminists they can put on the street, and neither should you.

Ohio State Offers Inauguration Day ‘Safe Space’ for Idiots

This is a reminder that it’s not enough just to win elections. Leftism must be rooted out of every dark corner where it festers–including our overgrown, overpriced, underachieving universities.

Ohio State has offered “safe space” for Inauguration Day, where whimpering students can hang out together and pretend the 2016 election of Donald Trump as president never happened. They will feature “teach-ins”–oh, please–and poetry readings ( http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/30828/ ). And the students will be “taught”–I’m no longer sure that “teaching” is quite the right word for what goes on in college–how to “define social justice,” blah-blah-blah. I guess “justice” is when Democrats win elections and are free to subject America to open borders, high taxes, abortion, transgender bathrooms for little girls and grown men, and all the rest of that social justice stuff.

The universities must be starved into extinction. Cut off the funding! They have way, way, way too much of our money, and they only know how to make mischief with it. Cut this beast down to size! With just a little courage, Republicans in Congress could start cutting back on federal support for the universities. Stop putting our taxes to work at screwing up our country!

And for heaven’s sake, stop sending your sons and daughters there!

Inauguration Day: Fire or Fizzle?

All sorts of threats against our new president, Donald Trump, are pouring out of the Left. As just one example out of many, CNN has recently teased its viewers by reporting that, should some “disaster” kill Trump and Vice President Mike Pence tomorrow, before they can be sworn in, an Obama appointee, some “undersecretary for political affairs,” would then become president ( http://www.infowars.com/cnn-if-trump-is-killed-during-inauguration-obama-appointee-would-be-president/ ).

Again, that’s just one of many threats, too numerous to list here. The Left is frantic over the prospect of losing power, and, unrestrained by anything that we would recognize as morality, they’re making like they’ll do absolutely anything to keep it.

But we’ve seen a lot of this lately. First they were going to disrupt the Republican National Convention. Fizzle. Then there was the Great Recount. Fizzle. Then the flood of threats against the Electoral College. Fizzle. Then some really disgusting “news” about Trump that turned out to be a hoax. Fizzle. So, if past history is anything to go by, the mayhem and chaos threatened for Inauguration Day will turn out to be the final fizzle. I pray I’m right about this.

This succession of threats is in itself symptomatic of a deep spiritual sickness in our country. And although the Lord blessed us in sparing us a Hillary Clinton presidency, it’ll take more than winning an election to cure us.

Let us pray.

O Lord Our God, move us as a nation to repent our sins, to humble ourselves, and to turn back to you, so that you can heal us–as you have said, in the Bible, that you will. Turn us so that we know our sin and turn away from it, turn us back to sanity, turn us back to you, O God: and we shall be saved. We are in very deep trouble, Lord, and only you can pull us out of it. In Jesus’ name, amen.

New Charge Against Trump: Witchcraft!

Dr. Floyd Rubbish

An honored academic, Dr. Floyd Rubbish, Professor of Gender and Social Justice at Effing University, has accused President-elect Donald Trump of practicing witchcraft.

“I seen him when he thinked nobody was looking!” the professor told MSNBC Fake News. “And guess what he done! Well, first he turnt hisself into a rabbit, and then he turnt hisself back into Donald Trump, and then he climbed onto a broom and he flyed away!”

Having seen this scandalous phenomenon, Professor Rubbish immediately reported it to the Democrat National Committee, who passed it on to the FBI’s Partisan B.S. Unit. Rubbish was paid $75,000 by the DNC to cover his travel expenses. He has donated most of his gratuity to the Clinton Foundation.

Senator Chuck Waggon (D-Mordor) said Trump would now have to step down in favor of Hillary Clinton. “We’ve got him now!” drooled the Democrat Senator. “He’s not going to wiggle out of this one. And anyhow, Hillary will make a better witch, she’s had much more practice.”

Another Dem Rocket Fizzles Out

Democrats seem to have mastered the art of the fizzle. First their Great Recount fizzled out. Then their campaign to buffalo the Electoral College fizzled out. And now their latest rocket isn’t going to make it through the day. As I sit down to write about it, it has already fizzled out, practically on the launching pad.

So we suddenly had this fake news story, retailed by John McCain and other anti-Trumpers, about the president-elect engaging in a particularly disgusting activity which I will not type out ( http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-01-10/4chan-claims-have-fabricated-anti-trump-report-hoax ). It’s only 3:30 p.m. and this report has already been shown to be a hoax.

Has our nation’s political discourse truly come to this?

Of course it has–we’re talking about Democrats, here. They’ve run out of real stuff to throw at Trump, so now they’re throwing pathetic little missiles that started out as “fan fiction” on somebody’s blog. Trust our “intelligence community” to believe it! And trust Dems and other libs to keep on believing it, and incorporating it into their Why We Lost mythology.

Well, that’s enough said about that. Remember that these are the same people who pay collidge perfessers good money to teach that there’s no such thing as truth, there’s only “your truth” and “my truth” and their truth always wins.

No matter how ridiculous it is.
