Sometimes what I see on British TV truly shocks me. Nothing’s changed since 2013–if anything, it’s gotten worse.

What happened to this country–birthplace of St. Patrick, home of King Arthur, cradle of saints? It’s no longer at all unusual to see real, venom-spitting hatred directed against the straw-man “Christian” characters in British television dramas. And you never see any other character question it. It’s like, hey, hating “Christians” is good!

What do these human spitting cobras have to offer, to replace forgiveness of sins and eternal life? If we give up Jesus Christ Our Savior, what will they give us in return?

This is a dark age in which to live. O Jesus Our Lord, be thou our light. Light of the World, please light our way.

Let’s go back to 2012, and to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel hurling invective at Chick-Fil-A for not embracing “Chicago values.”

And what are “Chicago values”? Well, all we can say for sure, based on the mayor’s Far Left Crazy babbling, is that they do not include the concept of marriage as consisting of one man and one woman.

But apparently people prowling the streets and shooting each other is okay.

Well, when the most famous resident of your city, all-time, is Al Capone, that’s gotta say something about your city’s “values.”

Think about it. Think about the many countries where they’ll confiscate and burn your Bible, and throw you into jail for having one. Think about the many countries where what Bibles they have, have to be smuggled in.

And think about the thousands of American public schools and–ahem!–colleges where God’s Word is mocked, hated, and banned.

To them that perish, foolishness…

Writer Who Created Bert & Ernie: They’re ‘Gay’

After “decades of speculation,” the writer who created Sesame Street’s “Bert and Ernie” characters has publicly stated that they’re “gay” (https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/7287268/sesame-street-bert-ernie-gay-speculation-over/).

However, Sesame Street so far is sticking to the statement its producers made several years ago: “[T]hey remain puppets and do not have a sexual orientation.”

Sesame Street has been a fixture on PBS public television for 48 seasons–paid for by the American people’s tax dollars.

We must ask: does this declaration by the writer change Bert and Ernie into a commercial for sodomy–a commercial aimed at an audience of children? Or is it just this one guy shooting off his mouth while the show itself remains “non-sexual” as it has always been?

I suppose that if children watching the show were unaware of this development, there’d be no harm done. But I wouldn’t bet on kids remaining unaware of it: there are too many shifty characters out there who will see to it that the writer’s message gets out. They want children to grow up believing sodomy is “normal” and even cute.

What matters is that God has said, “Thou shalt not.”

Do you go against the word of God because Sesame Street says you can?

In that case, who is your God–the Lord Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth, and made you, and paid for your salvation with the blood of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ… or television?

Choose.

‘Are We Really Deserting Christ?’ (2016)

Every year the nooze media delightedly proclaim that Christianity is dying off in America, people are leaving the Church in droves.

Who decided “changing our genders” would be a good thing? Who decided that we needed that in our culture? Who decided God’s created order wasn’t good enough?

I can’t think of anything more terrifying that a utopia created by sinners.

Flatline Churches Rally ‘Round Abortion

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain… unless you’re a “progressive Christian,” then it’s okay.

When the Son of Man returns, will He find faith in the earth?

Maybe–if He stays away from certain churches.

An ordained Presbyterian pastor, Rebecca Todd Peters, who is a professor at Elon University, has authored a book titled Trust Women: a Progressive Christian Argument for Reproductive Justice (https://www.lifenews.com/2018/08/29/presbyterian-pastor-if-christians-truly-value-women-they-will-support-abortion/). Yowsah, yowsah, says the preacher: if Christians truly “value” women, why, they’ll support abortion!

Not to be outdone, the United Methodist Church is proposing to change its kinda-sorta-not exactly position on abortion to “We support abortion!”

Both the Presbyterian “minister” and the Methodist churchmen resort to the euphemism, “reproductive health.” Like, pregnancy is a disease and the baby is the symptom. Like, a woman going to have a baby is not “healthy.”

Look at the title of Ms. Peters’ book. “Progressive Christian” is surely an oxymoron, like “colossal olives.” “Progressive Christians” oppose God’s word at every turn. They hate God’s word. And as for “reproductive justice,” what is that? Justice for whom? Certainly not for the baby in the womb. But when liberals speak of “justice,” it becomes a dirty word.

What is with these churches? They “marry” homosexuals, denounce God the Father as a relic of some imaginary “patriarchy”–or is that term now “kyriarchy,” or “archiarchy”?–butcher the scriptures, and then wonder why they’re hemorrhaging members. At the rate they’re going, the Presbyterian Church USA won’t see the 22nd century.

Then again, you might say that for our whole global humanist lunatic civilization.

 

‘They Came for This Pastor’s Sermons’ (2016)

Remember this gem, from just two years ago? A Georgia pastor was fired from his minor government position, two days after being hired, when the state inquisitors read his sermons and found him guilty of agreeing with the Bible on homosexuality.

Make no mistake about it. Democrats and other left-wing specimens are out to erase Christianity from public life, and disable Christians as citizens. I can’t even imagine the headlines we would have seen by now, had they succeeded in electing Hillary Clinton as president.

We have most shamefully and needlessly failed in the defense of our heritage.

And it’s time for that to stop.
