Obedience Training for Adult Humans

According to the ideology of hyper-humanism, government can create a risk-free, trouble-free, paradise of a world if only it’s given enough power–lots and lots and lots of power–and human beings obey that power… one way or another, heh-heh.

So it makes sense to teach adults a habit of obedience, as if they were toddlers or dogs. Adults get ideas above their station. They think they can live their lives without government telling them how to live. Tarnation! We’ll never get paradise if people don’t obey the government!

Now, according to a confidential source who is not to be relied on for a minute, the whole COVID-19 pandemic was designed as “a course in obedience” for the entire adult human population. The idea is, obey or the virus’ll kill ya. Obey no matter how big a hardship it is–lose your job, lose your business, lose Christmas with your family, wear a mask all the time, wear two masks, endure that jackanapes Fauci on your TV screen and pretend you believe him… All that hard and annoying stuff. Of course it’s not going to do you any good. The whole idea is to teach you to obey.

Just like if you were a dog.

So, sure, the nasty virus does really exist, they did take the trouble to brew it up in the lab and let it get loose, and heaven help you if you’re a patient in a nursing home and a COVID case comes in–

But like the man said, never let a good crisis go to waste!

After all, we believe that sinners and fools can create a government that’s neither sinful nor foolish… don’t we?

Sick and Tired of Masks

This morning’s grocery shopping brought me to Whole Foods, where Cerberus at the door scolded me for my mask not being high enough. “I need you to put that over your nose,” she said. “I need you to pinch it so it doesn’t slip down.” I need you to do this, I need you to do that: somebody’s been watching too many TV cop shows.

Well, sunshine, I don’t care what you need. This encounter degenerated into a shouting match. I’m not proud of this, but I’ll tell you what these little tinpot tyrants do need–a realization that the consent of the governed is wearing very, very thin. But meanwhile, if you don’t wear the mask the way they like it, they won’t let you buy food. Tom Paine is spinning in his grave.

Did I wake up in Communist China this morning? They can actually order you to wear a mask? What kind of country is this turning into?

Just the kind that Democrats want: no land of the free, no home of the brave: just a lot of timid little sheeple who tamely obey the government. Feh!

This has to stop. We have to find a way to stop it.

When I was in college I attended a lecture by Bayard Rustin, who said something I’ve never forgotten: “There are a lot of stupid Smart People.”

We’ve raised a bumper crop of them, these days; and they’re out to eat us alive.

Except the Lord Build the House…

Take a good look at these people who want to “transform” our country and control our lives. They are defective. The fact that they’re billionaires only proves that God has a sense of humor. That fact that they’re already so powerful only shows how much we need Him.

As the song says, Protect us by thy might, great God our king.

There’s always some animated root vegetable who wants to rule the rest of us–and always for our own good, of course. President Woodrow Wilson would have liked to have been something more than president.

His Bible substitute was a novel with the catchy title, Philip Dru: Administrator: A Story of Tomorrow, 1920-1935. He liked it so much, he made its author, Col. House, his chief foreign policy advisor.

‘Moby-Dick, or The (What?) Whale’

Here’s another little chip knocked off our past: a small thing, but if the leftids keep on doing it, these small chips will add up into big ones and we’ll be cut off from our moorings and set adrift on a sea of ignorance.

When Herman Melville’s classic of American literature was published in 1851, its full title was Moby-Dick, or the White Whale. Nineteenth-century publishing was big on subtitles. But here, as you can see in the book cover reproduced above, they’ve changed the subtitle so it’s just or, The Whale.

Now I’m not going to re-read it with a score-sheet to keep track of all details added to or subtracted from the novel for the sake of political correctitude. The one change in the title itself is enough to make my point.

Melville used “the whiteness of the whale” to transform Moby-Dick into something more than an ordinary whale. This whale is different: it’s something that anyone with his head on straight will want to avoid. But Captain Ahab is obsessed with hunting it, and you know how that turned out. The narrator, Ishmael, quotes the Book of Job: “And I only am escaped to tell thee.” Moby-Dick has killed everybody else and sunk the whaling vessel.

So taking away the whiteness of the whale damages the novel–and why would they want to do that?

It’s another little bit of Cancel Culture, of course. What leftids want to do is cut us off from our past: cut us off from all thought but theirs. Like, human life never truly began until these culture commissars came along and invented everything we’re supposed to know from now on. Only what they want us to know. Only what they want us to think. Only what they want us to read.

Don’t ask me why we tolerate this; I don’t know.

We really must make them stop doing this to us.

And you know what you do to people, when you presume they’re always guilty? You teach them to lie! If you’re a perpetual accuser, there’s no point in ever telling you the truth. They’ll just lie to get you off their backs.

I suggest all this “racism” crap tossed around by colleges is actually inspiring racism.

When all you do is pretend to care, sooner or later you won’t be able to care.

Supreme Court–Except for Roberts–Upholds Christian Students’ Free Speech

Don’t you love it? The “Free Speech Zone” is all fenced in! I’m surprised they didn’t use barbed wire and put up a machine gun and searchlight tower next to it.

Even Obama appointees Kagan and Sotomayor agreed that Georgia Gwinnett College trampled on Christian students’ free speech rights; so it was an 8-1 decision by the court in favor of the students.

Chief Justice John Roberts, whom we once believed to be a conservative, was the only “no” vote (https://thefederalist.com/2021/03/08/in-8-1-scotus-ruling-chief-justice-john-roberts-is-the-only-one-to-side-against-christian-students-whose-free-speech-was-trampled/).

The students were hassled by the kampus kops when they tried to hand out literature and talk to other students. They moved to the skool’s “(LOL) free speech zone” but got hassled there, too.

And you’re gonna love this: the college defended its actions by saying that the Christian students’ speaking freely violated the school’s “Freedom of Expression” policy. Doh!

When the students sued, Gwinnet “changed” its policy to remove “barriers” to free speech. The chief justice said that made the whole case moot. The other eight disagreed with him.

A case has to be a real slam dunk, to get those eight votes.

Does that mean the Supreme Court still has some interest, however minuscule, in preserving America as a free country?

But let’s not hold our breath.

And have you noticed how they keep moving the goalposts? Now we’ve got Foochi Fauci darkly hinting that life won’t be back to normal even by this time in 2022. And there’s a poll in the UK that shows a certain number of people saying they’ll never stop wearing face masks, they’ll wear ’em for the rest of their lives.

When they get done with us, there’ll no more adults among us. The libs will be the Morlocks, and we’ll be the Eloi.

And they will eat us.

After they eat up all our wealth, of course.

They call it “higher education.”

If you ever thought freedom and liberty were natural aspirations of humanity, think again.

A new study shows a majority of “academics”–professors and graduate students–favor discrimination against whatever conservative colleagues they might find still around on campus (https://freebeacon.com/campus/majority-of-academics-support-discriminating-against-conservatives-study-shows/). In fact, many of them favor “dismissing” colleagues if they have conservative beliefs.

At the same time, 70 percent of conservative academics say their colleges and universities have become a “hostile environment” for them, characterized by “powerful conformist pressures.” As in, “Support transgenderism or lose your job.”

And 20 percent of academics under the age of 30 support firing conservatives outright.

How do you think they’d feel if the shoe were on the other foot? If you could be fired for being a leftid? Think they’d support that?

But it’s our fault for continuing to send our sons and daughters to these ideological gulags known as colleges and universities, and tamely continuing to feed the colleges with our tuition dollars. To say nothing of alumni donors, and the government, who pour billions of dollars into this corrupt and wicked system. How else do you think Harvard can boast an annual budget of more than $40 billion? Yes, that’s “billion.”

Everywhere you look, our freedom is under attack. Emboldened by their success in stealing a national election, Far Left Crazy has throttled up its campaign to “fundamentally transform” America into a socialist hell-hole, doing as much damage as they can, as fast as they can. It’ll be a miracle if our republic survives the next two years.

There isn’t much that we can do about it; but one thing we can do is stop sending our children to these colleges.

That won’t just save money. It might save souls.
