I don’t like to do nooze on the weekend, but if I don’t get this out of the way, it’ll fester.

A Florida state senator has proposed a bill to require bloggers who write about the governor, the attorney general, and other public officials… to register with the state or pay a fine (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/03/florida-bill-will-require-bloggers-who-write-about-governor-to-register-with-state/).

Whoa! Did I wake up in North Korea? Cuba? Or is State Senator Jason Brodeur just barking, screaming, head-does-a-360 mad? And he’s a Republican. We expect this kind of Stalinist horse manure from Democrats–but no, no, no! Not from Republicans.

Far Left Crazy must be licking its chops over this. “Ooooh, why didn’t we think of that! Quick! Set it up in every Blue state and every Blue city on the map!”

Really, you don’t expect the First Amendment to be attacked from this direction. I believe God Himself has granted me the right, from birth, to say or write anything I please about anyone occupying any public office. “Endowed by our Creator”–dig? “Inalienable rights”–which means you can’t take them away.

Somebody find this senator a civics class.

This absurdity wouldn’t last ten minutes in any federal court.

Quick! Draw up a treaty before it goes under!

Paraguay has fired a government official (Ministry of Agriculture) for entering into a diplomatic understanding with a country that doesn’t exist (https://torontosun.com/news/weird/paraguay-official-resigns-after-signing-agreement-with-fictional-country).

“The United States of Kailasa” is the plaything of a “guru” who’s wanted in India on several charges of fraud. His whereabouts are currently unknown, reports the Toronto Sun.

Meanwhile, “Kailasa” has been sitting in on U.N. meetings in Geneva, signing various kinds of treaties with assorted nations, and getting recognized as the “sister city” of Newark, New Jersey.

Ask any 10-year-old who collects stamps or coins: he will never have heard of Kailasa. Believe me, you can find almost anything in a stamp album! But world leaders don’t realize that this place does not exist, some con man made it up? What’s next–a non-aggression pact with Atlantis?

Global government–it’s in the Book of Revelation

Do we want to sign over America’s sovereignty to a gaggle of lunatics?

These days the World Health Organization, which may or may not be an appendage of the Chinese Communist Party, is spearheading the drive toward global government. Gotta be safe!

Dig some of these quotes from the preamble to WHO’s constitution.

*Health is a state of complete (what?) physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity…”

Stop right there. Have you ever known anyone to whom the above description would apply? Has anybody got complete well-being?

*”Unequal development” of the world’s 200 or so nations is “a common danger.” Gee. Somehow the world’s nations are not all alike. Maybe we really do need a world government, huh? I mean, just to make ’em all alike.

*”Governments have the responsibility for the health of their peoples…” Perish the thought that your yourself, or your family, are responsible for your health. When are we gonna learn that the answer is always government?

These people are insane. Do they think they can give us “complete physical, mental and social well-being”? And what is “social well-being,” by the way? Dare we ask?

Some nations have more resources than others. But it doesn’t always come down to that. Why is Costa Rica so much more stable and prosperous than its neighbors? Could it be because they don’t waste their time and energy on revolving-door dictators, endless revolutions, firing squads, etc.? Do the wackos at WHO know how to turn every country in Central America into a clone of Costa Rica? Bad government is the chief cause of world poverty. When incompetence teams up with corruption, the people haven’t got a chance.

Could we please back off from the World Health Organization? Could we please stop paying the United Nations’ expenses?

The only world government that has any right to rule is that of Jesus Christ the King of kings.

Certainly not the UN, the European Union, or any other shabby excuse for government that this fallen world can offer.

Hear that, you plebs! You’re paying boxcar-loads of money to “educators” who admit that they despise you! Who think they have a license to groom your kids for sex. And teach them that race is everything! Transgender lessons out the wazoo! The whole Far Left culture-killing, family-destroying Fun-Pack!

So… Is Secretary Miguel Cardona right–you’re just a bunch of ignorant peasants, unworthy of respect? Do you want to re-elect his boss, SloJo Biden? How about keeping the whole gang of them in power, lording it over us and using our kids as lab rats in their social experiments?

What do ‘educators’ have to do, to get you to pull your children out of their teachers’ union schools? Or is there just no limit to how much they can insult you and trample on your wishes?

Virginia’s new Republican governor, Glenn Youngkin, has asked all the personnel of the state’s “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” office… to resign (https://citizenfreepress.com/breaking/glenn-youngkin-just-gutted-virginias-state-crt-office/).

His new Chief DEI Officer, Angela Sailor, has already replaced “Equity”–a word that leftids have rendered totally meaningless–with “Opportunity.” She has also called Critical Race Theory, beloved of Far Left “educators,” a “dangerous philosophical poisoning in the blood stream.”

The question is, why is there still a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office? How is this anything but a relic of crazed left-wing social engineering? It was created to activate Critical Race Theory as the doctrine behind the teaching that all white people are born evil and all non-whites are hopeless victims of “oppression,” etc., etc.

Well, cleaning out the Augean Stables of Virginia’s Dept. of Education will not be accomplished in a day: there is an immense quantity of muck to muck out. We should all be grateful to Gov. Youngkin for getting the work off to a good start. He is showing American that it can be done: we do not have to bow before the teachers’ unions.

Some of us would prefer to see “public education” scrapped altogether, and all the children removed from the schools. We expect it will be necessary to do this.

But meanwhile, Gov. Youngkin is trying to do his state and our nation good service; may God bless his efforts.

 

The Left’s Achilles Heel REPRINT

By now it’s become obvious to all but the looniest leftids that “Defund the Police” is an idea whose time has not come. So Democrats are trying to convince us that they never said it! They’re trying to shift this load of failure onto the Republicans. It’s not going to work, but at least they understand they’ve got to toss this clunker overboard and sail away from it as fast as they can.

This was hard for them, because, as leftids, they simply can’t admit that any of their ideas is hopelessly, disastrously wrong. If they could do that, they wouldn’t be liberals. Even as they try to walk away from “Defund the Police,” they’re battening down the hatches to defend Critical Race Theory–a Democrat project even more unpopular than defunding the police.

Sometimes the only thing you can do with failure is to walk away from it. You don’t double down on the Edsel–and CRT is an Edsel. (Note: If you’re too young to remember the Edsel, just think of it as “Windows 8.”) Practically everybody hates it. But because liberals can never be wrong, they will defend CRT. They will defend the indefensible.

What earthly good does it do to “teach” anyone that white people are born evil, everything they do is bad, no matter what they say or do, they’re racists–while black people are born without the sense God gave a pincushion, they can’t achieve a blessed thing without liberals handing it to them on a silver platter…

Can you imagine basing a whole culture on this crap? Everybody would be angry all the time! Or depressed. Who in his right mind wants to live that way?

But because it’s their pet project, the Far Left Crazy is doomed to defend it.

Let’s make this their Waterloo.

‘Author’ in Need of a Civics Lesson REPRINT

I don’t know how you get kudos as a “feminist author,” but clearly it’s not for having a keen grasp of basic civics.

Here we have a “feminist author” suggesting that her Democrat Party pledge itself to run “no white guys” for president in 2024. So, like, if the greatest and wisest person in the world were running, but he was a white guy, up against the worst and dumbest person in the world, who was not a white guy, our “feminist author” would prefer the Democrats nominate the stupid bad person.

Do any of these identity politics buffoons know what a president is, or is supposed to be, or does? Or is this just, to them, some kind of national popularity contest in which every whining group gets its turn to have a president who looks like them? Is this what the Democrat Party has come to? (Hint: Yes.)

But of course we’re talking about someone for whom “author” isn’t enough, but she has to be a “feminist author.” How many points is that worth? “It may be poop, but at least it’s feminist poop!”

Too many people like this are allowed to vote.

 

 

The Stupidest Protest Ever REPRINT

At least the Three Stooges were funny, Our morons aren’t.

Yesterday, in a nooze photo of a pro-abortion demonstration, we saw a noop carrying a sign that read, “Safe, Accessible Abortions for All Genders.” All genders. I can’t seem to find that same photo today. Maybe it got sucked back into Weirdland.

Normally you’d need a moving van to transport that much idiocy; yet this ninny carried it upon his (?) shoulder. All genders. Like there are men out there who want abortions? But that’s what the new left-wing-doofus buzzword’s all about–“pregnant people”–isn’t it?

I have never in my life seen anything like the horrifying speed with which the whole Western world went racing off the cliff called “transgender.” And for what? So they can babble about pregnant men? And all these different genders?

Is our country possessed by a demon of mass lunacy? Does our nation need an exorcism? I saw another picture of a sign held up by a couple of black women, pro-abortion protesters: “Abortion Is Our Future!” Oh, God, pity us. Talking about being careful what you wish for! You blocks and stones.

And of course, of course, these same la-las who march around chanting “My body, my choice!” are curiously receptive to the government making the choice for them, mandating, to get injected with an experimental drug that may or may not protect you from the COVID virus but might also kill you. Yowsah. Let Big Brother make that choice for me!

Do leftids actually believe there are pregnant men, or do they just say it because they have no integrity and are too full of schiff to know it?

This stuff has to stop before it stops our civilization.

Confessions of a Blindfolded Newsman REPRINT

In the 1970s the U.S. Dept. of Education was founded, and various states set up their own departments of education, or else greatly expanded the powers of those already in existence. These steps drastically altered the state of public education in America… not that it ever was all that good an idea in the first place.

I was a newspaper reporter and editor in those days. Among other duties, I covered three school boards and had part-timers covering the rest. When a major story came along, we worked on it together.

Very important changes were put in place back then. These happened right before my eyes: and I’m ashamed to tell you that I didn’t see them. Right out there in front of me, and I might as well have been wearing a blindfold. I can only say I couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Too many distractions kept me from seeing the big picture.

I saw the state education bureaucracy swallow the authority of the local boards–and didn’t realize what I was seeing. I remember now a meeting of the Matawan Board of Education, in which a nerd from the state came and told the board members what New Jersey would be expecting of them from now on.

One member objected. “What is this?” he said. “It sounds like one of those old Soviet five-year plans!” The response was a coy “Tee-hee! Once you buy into the program, you’ll have a clearer understanding.” What I didn’t realize was that he already had a very clear understanding of exactly what the state was doing! But he wound up resigning, and it never occurred to me to sit down with him for an in-depth interview.

Dammit all! I was a newsman, and this was news! I had it in my power to inform the public that they were all being taken for a ride. That they were down there in Trenton growing the government at the community’s expense. That the teachers’ union had the state wrapped around its little finger.

So the people who paid for the schools, and sent their children there, would no longer be getting what they thought they paid their taxes for, but what Far Left teachers’ unions and quasi-Marxist, grey ponytail “educators” in Trenton thought they ought to get.

By and by the newspaper workload became too heavy a burden for me and I resigned, too.

People who don’t much like us, and want to change our way of life, have been working on our schools for fifty years.

Pull your kids out of there. That’s all that’s left for us to do.
