I’m surprised no one has entered this in our Christmas Carol Contest–glorious 14th century Christmas hymn, On This Day Earth Shall Ring, more properly Personent Hodie, sung here by the Mount Holyoke College Vespers. We sang this, long ago, in our middle school Christmas concert. Before they outlawed wholesomeness.
As for the contest, the leader from the first day is still the leader with 25 views on the day it was requested… and still leading on Christmas Day itself. So many of you haven’t entered!
And don’t forget to show up for our cyber-Christmas party…
Cute little girl and excitable dog sharing a Christmas tree–what could go wrong? I can’t tell if the tree has been purposely decorated with dog toys for the dog to pull off: but then he declares a vendetta against the little girl’s stuffed snowman. The child doesn’t seem to mind. Maybe she’ll grow up with odd notions.
Two hours of non-stop motion, much of it consisting of bending up and down–and our Christmas tree is decorated! Huzzah! I’m beat!
You’ll pardon for posting a picture of last year’s Christmas tree. Our camera’s been temperamental lately.
Why is it such a big job? my sister wondered. “You must have an awful lot of ornaments.”
Forsooth, we have a prodigious lot of ornaments! And I know the history of each and every one, too. Many of them once belonged to family members who have passed on but are certainly not forgotten. I couldn’t bear to leave those off the tree.
After I sleep, or crash, or just plain plotz, we shall throw open the doors of our imaginary Victorian house for our cyber-Christmas party. I hope you all can make it! We’ll have carol singing (with my imaginary harpsichord), all sorts of games, and food and drink like you wouldn’t believe.
But for now I feel like I just fell down the stairs, so see you in a bit.
What if they had a Democrat rally in Atlanta and nobody came? Oh, wait a minute–they did have a Democrat rally in Atlanta and nobody came.
Crikey, they tell us this bozo, this monkey, got 80+ million votes–and no one comes to hear him speak? A flea circus would draw a bigger crowd than this. There are more signs than people. More “journalists” than people.
You’d think they could’ve hit Soros up for some money and manufactured a cheering crowd. Was it too much trouble, to do that? Or do they really, truly think “We’ve got this, we’ve already got it, we don’t have to do anything”? After all, they have voting machines that reliably give them however many votes they need to manufacture a consent. Public support has become irrelevant to them.
This is why we’re going to win: the enemy is both stupid and so puffed up with hubris that he can’t see straight. All we have to do is not give up. Keep gathering the evidence, speaking the truth, and by all means turn off the nooze media: they’re just the organ grinders’ monkeys. There’s too much evidence to sweep under the rug, with more coming in by the hour. This presidential election was perverted, corrupted, and stolen by the Democrats. Do not give up. Do not rest until it’s overturned.
Because if it’s not, we don’t have a republic anymore.
And that’s all the nooze I’m gonna do today, or Christmas Day–so enjoy it (if that’s the word for it).
So I turned on the radio to listen to Sean Hanity yesterday, but what I got instead was a Rutgers University basketball game. Country’s on the brink of blowing up, and we’ve got collidge basketball.
Whoa! Wait a minute! Where are the face masks? How come they’re not running up and down the court with masks over their mouths and nostrils? And where’s the Social Distancing? Schiff, those players are actually guarding each other–you can’t do that from six feet away!
What’s that you say? King COVID is a fan of collidge basketball so he leaves the players alone? You know–like the virus knows a riot is in a good cause, and wouldn’t dream of making the rioters sick. Same as how the rising sea levels know not to drown Obama’s new mansion on the water line at Martha’s Vineyard.
But I don’t get why college basketball should be exempt from all the Mandates and Governors’ Orders that get regular people yelled at and threatened if they walk down the sidewalk without a mask. What’s so special about college basketball in particular and sports in general? How did they get an exemption of the kind usually reserved to woke rioters and sleazy Democrat politicians?
Is it just because college itself is so sublimely woke, so totally devoted to destroying sanity and freedom, so deeply committed to every form of wickedness and folly, that King COVID just can’t bear to lay a finger on it? Because the whole purpose of the virus panic is to establish total control, by globalist tyrants, over all humanlife?
Yes, I know, the libs will jump all over it. “See? See? We toldja he was crazy!” But as Lou Costello once said, I saw what I saw when I saw it–and I don’t care what a bunch of leftids think. They believe in much more ridiculous things than the occasional pterodactyl. I prefer not to mention any of them here.
P.S.–Don’t forget out cyber-Christmas party! All are welcome! Bring imaginary snacks and board games and party fixin’s. We’re going to have a blast!
See, now that the voting machines will spit out however many votes they need, they can do anything they please and never worry about being voted out of office. They will govern not by the consent of the governed, but by manufacturing consent as needed.
And then they can pass laws telling us what we can believe and what we can’t. If they even bother anymore to go through the charade of enacting laws.
This is the theme music for the 1984 movie version of A Christmas Carol, starring George C. Scott as Scrooge: God Bless Us, Everyone, by Nick Bicat. The rest of the movie’s pretty good, too!
I was going to post just cats and dogs playing in the snow and let it go at that, but the Bunnies’ Union was on my case as quick as boiled asparagus. The long and short of it is, they convinced me to post a video of rabbits playing in the snow, too.
Don’t let this happen to you! (It happened to me once, and once was enough.)
We have just erected our Christmas tree in our living room. It has a slight tilt to it: so hard to get it straight when you’re lying under it, tightening the bolts in the tree stand. So we’ve tied it to the bannister. At least that way it can’t fall into the living room. It might not fall at all.
No, the decorations don’t go on today. The whole thing is too big a job for one day (gettin’ old *sigh*). That comes tomorrow: the tree lights from Grandpa’s store that he had in the 1930s–and they still work. And all those ornaments, each with its own little bit of family history.
We’ve never had cats who tried to climb the tree and pulled it down. Which is not to say that Robbie and Peep didn’t have a grand old time “helping” Daddy set the tree up. Our cats mostly love to sleep under the tree; Robbie’s already snoozing on the tree’s blanket.
It suddenly occurs to me that I haven’t yet wrapped Patty’s presents. A few more minutes’ rest, and back to work!
(Don’t forget to show up for our cyber-Christmas party–you’re all welcome, we crave your company.)
