After including the film in its summer movie schedule year after year, in 2017 the Orpheum Theater, in Memphis, suddenly decided that Gone With the Wind had to be yanked from the slate and never shown again.

‘Gone with the Wind’… is Gone

Why? Because the “pro-choice” mob decided this was yet another choice they would have to make for you–you can’t be trusted to choose correctly on your own. And they will decide what’s correct or not.

All this high-handed bullying and vandalism gets pitched to us as “social justice” etc. Only leftids can give a bad name to “justice.”

Remember: when they say “choice,” it means “my way or no way!”

Astoundingly docile people, aren’t we?

A Virginia Tech women’s soccer player will be paid  $100,000 to settle a lawsuit against the university (https://www.cleveland.com/news/2023/01/college-soccer-player-wins-100000-settlement-after-refusing-to-kneel-during-pregame-ceremony.html).

She sued them because the coach demanded the team “take a knee” to show “solidarity” with BLM rioters. When she refused the order compelling her speech, he verbally abused her, benched her, and eventually forced her to leave the team.

Compelled speech! It’s what makes leftids drool. To Democrats, it’s poetry come to life. Make someone say he believes something that he does not believe in; make her say she endorses what she finds despicable. That’s how it’s done, son!

The “school” asked the judge to dismiss the suit. Nothing doing. So they settled. Probably cheaper than going to trial. Universities have tons of money, though. This lost $100K won’t make them change their ways.

Leftism has damaged our republic in ways that won’t be easily repaired. And out in front of the charge against our liberties is (ahem!) “higher education.”

 

Kicked Out of Restaurant for Wearing ‘MAGA’ Hat

Hey! Y’know that party that’s always going on about tolerance and “social justice,” blah-blah-blah? They’re kicking people out of restaurants for wearing MAGA hats or T-shirts and thereby supporting Donald Trump… which supposedly equals “hate speech” and “misogyny” and “homophobia.”

The incident depicted here was a simulation. The customers who finally got up and left because they couldn’t take any more of the Far Left fat-head manager demanding that the MAGA guy either remove his hat or leave–those customers weren’t in on it.They really were disgusted.

As I searched for this video, I discovered there were a lot of un-staged incidents just like this in other restaurants throughout the country.

Oh, how they would love to jail us for our politics! How they’d love to impose a China-style “social credit system” on America–if your mind ain’t right, you can’t ride the train.

How could a republic full of clever men and women have been so thoroughly hijacked by numbskulls?

It seems in Oregon you can’t get life-saving treatment for breast cancer unless your mind is right about Transgender. If you ain’t for it, they think you don’t deserve to life. “They” being the state’s medical authorities.

We knew it would go this far.

First the Coutts Bank, in the UK, shut down Nigel Farage’s accounts, to punish him for voicing skepticism of government COVID policy. The immediate backlash forced the Coutts CEO to resign… for “mishandling” the situation.

Now, here in America, and for the same reason, Dr. Joseph Mercola has been “de-banked” by JP Morgan Chase (https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2023/07/27/chase-shuts-down-bank-accounts-at-mercola.aspx). Not only him, but quite a few of his employees… and members of their families.

“This is what the new social credit system looks like,” Dr. Mercola said. China uses a “social credit system” to stifle its skeptics. Say the wrong thing, and you can’t buy food anymore.

Chase Bank has given no specific reason for its action… beyond “unusual activities,” undefined, and unspecified “legal reasons.”

Dr. Mercola has been a prominent questioner of government COVID-19 policies, for which he has been attacked by the New York Times as “the most influential spreader of Coronavirus.” 

Isn’t there some kind of law that says we have a right to question public policy without fear of getting crushed by government and its private-sector henchmen? Oh, yeah–it’s called the First Amendment. Apparently it doesn’t apply to Dr. Mercola, his employees, and their families. I wonder if their neighbors are safe? How about kids who went to school with Dr. Mercola when he was a boy? Really–where does this stop?

America’s most dangerous enemies are all home-grown.

CA Community Colleges–Sued!

South Carolina House adds firing squad to execution methods

Is this where we’re headed?

By now we all know that American colleges, by and large, promote Far Left orthodoxies and punish faculty or students who choose not to go along. The California Community College system is suddenly among the chief offenders–and is getting sued for it (https://justthenews.com/nation/free-speech/insanely-chilling-academic-freedom-suit-targets-new-california-college-diversity?utm_source=news.google.com&utm_medium=news-app&utm_campaign=external-news-aggregators).

Centered around Bakersfield College and the Kern Community College District, it’s a complicated case with several plaintiffs and a mob of defendants. It boils down to conservative faculty members getting censored, passed over for promotion, and getting fired for saying or writing things deemed oppositional to the colleges’ “antiracism” line. As usual, our First Amendment freedom of speech is in the crosshairs.

The time has come to defund colleges and universities that refuse to respect our civil rights. This lawsuit is going to a federal court. I don’t see how the bad guys can win this one, their actions were so blatantly wrong–but this is California.

Why should we submit to being “educated” by people who hate us and want to punish us for anything they think we shouldn’t say… or believe?

America, your colleges are not your friends.

How do we wind up being governed by these babbling homunculi?

Here in mentally impoverished New Jersey, Gov. Warren Murphy has announced a proposed ban on the sale of gas-powered cars, to take effect in 2035. He sez he wants “to require [they love that word] car manufacturers to increase their sales of electric cars,” yatta-yatta ( https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/energy-environment/new-jersey-make-all-vehicles-electric-2035).  As if businesses didn’t always try to increase the sales of whatever they were selling!

Where’s the legislation? Where’s our representative government? Murphy wants to shove this onto us via the Office of Administrative Law. Well, who needs voting? This is about “the state’s commitment to the green agenda.” Which we’ve never voted for.

Make no mistake. This is about controlling our lives and limiting our freedom of movement. Electric cars are ridiculously expensive; and where does this jackass think the electricity comes from? (Hint: it comes from fossil fuels!)

Climbit Chainge. Hot dog. They won’t stop until they’ve erased our liberty altogether.

Who needs Red China? Our worst enemies are all home-grown.
